The Ruger Precision Rimfire is a bolt-action, magazine fed, repeating rifle. The receiver and barrel, free-float handguard, and externally adjustable trigger join together to create a rigid and accurate assembly. The molded chassis assembly includes the buttstock with adjustable length of pull, comb height, and pad height. Other notable features include a threaded muzzle, 30 MOA canted Picatinny scope base, reversible AR-style safety selector, and an AR-style grip. The Ruger Precision Rimfire also features a handguard with Magpul M-LOK mounting system.

The molded, one-piece chassis and adjustable buttstock assembly are manufactured with glass-filled nylon for strength, stiffness and stability, making a solid foundation for accuracy each and every shot. An adjustable buttstock features a flat Picatinny bag rider making it easy to affix a rear monopod. A molded-in window provides a tether point for your squeeze bag, and a metal QD pocket makes it easy to secure a sling. The Quick-Fit adjustable Precision Rimfire stock allows length of pull and comb height to be quickly and easily adjusted to get proper fit over a wide range of shooter sizes, outer wear and shooting positions. Indicating marks molded into the chassis help you quickly return to a previous position. Ruger’s own AR-Pattern pistol grip and safety selector provides an extended reach for maximum control and access to the 45°, reversible safety selector. May be configured with most AR-style grips and selectors. The Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger is externally adjustable, with a trigger pull range of 2.25 to 5 pounds; wrench is stored in a buttstock compartment. Ruger’s Big-Gun bolt throw adjustment enables shooters to change from a rimfire 1-1/2″ bolt throw to a short-action centerfire 3″ bolt throw, reducing the chance of short-stroking your bolt in competition. The oversized bolt handle for positive bolt manipulation is the same as what is found on the centerfire Ruger Precision Rifle.

The Anschutz target bolt action, which is used in this Anschutz 1710 HB AV SS hunting repeater, has dominated national and international competitions including the Olympic Games and the World Championships in the small bore rifle disciplines. The bolt movement, as with all Anschutz equipment, is extra ordinarily smooth and effortless. The bolt face is set back so that the rim of the cartridge is fully supported by the bolt head. The tried and tested arrangement of claw- extractor and cartridge holder ensures reliable case extraction. The one-piece firing pin has a defined end-stop area to prevent damage from dry firing. The receiver is equipped with an 0.43" wide, Anschutz Wave Style, V-block riflescope mounting dovetail rail. On some models there are additional drilled and tapped holes provided for scope mounting bases and rings. The independent bolt catch, mounted on the left side of the receiver, limits the movement of the bolt and protects the trigger. A gas vent hole on the side of the extractor groove directs the gas safely to the side in the event of cartridge failure. The sliding safety catch on the right hand side, a recent improvement, blocks the trigger sear in the safe position and simultaneously lifts the trigger sear and bolt release latch. The bolt can also be opened in the safe position, allowing unloading the firearm with the safety engaged. This rifle features a 18" heavy stainless steel barrel threaded 1/2" x 28 tpi and Classic Walnut stock.
